Bach Partita No. 2 Chaconne

Chaconne is a dance originated from South America. It has a moderately slow rhythem, rhythm, with a recurring moving bass pattern. It has been said that Bach wrote it for his first wife, Maria Babara, after he returned from a trip to discovered that she has died.

Johannes Brahms said: "On one stave, for a small instrument, the man writes a whole world of the deepest thoughts and most powerful feelings. If I imagined that I could have created, even conceived the piece, I am quite certain that the excess of excitement and earth-shattering experience would have driven me out of my mind."
